Anyone want to share some simple recipes for the kiddies? Any childhood favorites that you like to share.

We make the frozen smores:

Graham Crackers

Cool Whip/or favorite Pudding

Hershey Syrup

Place cool whip between the graham crackers and drizzle with hershey syrup and freeze for twenty minutes and watch them eat them up.

My girls used to like to make pudding or kool-aid and put it in paper cups with a stick and freeze them. The oldest one still does this with her boys.

They also used to like to make ants on a log, with celery and peanut butter, with rasins on. Or cheese spread with olives on the celery. To funny I forgot all about making these.

This thread reminded me of the Icebox Butterfinger dessert my mother used to make. It will knock your socks off. I don't know the exact measurements of things, I just guess and it works!

7 Butterfingers - chopped up

1 container of Cool Whip - can't remember if it's the regular size or large size...play with it.

Marshmallows - 1/2 a bag I think.

Graham cracker crust mixture.

Get a cake pan and cover the bottom with that delicious graham cracker crust mix. What is it....crushed graham crackers, melted butter and sugar?

Then melt the marshmallows, cool a little bit and fold into the Cool Whip. If the mixture is cool, fold in the chopped butterfingers. Pour into the prepared cake pan and sprinkle more of the graham cracker crust mixture on the top. Put in freezer. When it's frozen, or firm, take it out, cut a slice... YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO STOP AT JUST ONE!

I got the correct recipe from my sister...

Melt 1 package of marshmallows with approximately 1/2 cup milk. Let cool.

Add regular size Cool Whip.

Add 7 regular sized crushed butterfinger candy bars.

Put Graham cracker crust (recipe on graham cracker boxon the bottom of cake pan, pour in filling and sprinkle some of it on top.

I make egg in a frame for my son and grandkids.

Butter one slice of bread, both sides. Cut out a circle, small juice glass works or a cookie cutter if you

want to be fancy. Put bread in hot skillet, empty 1 egg into the circle. Cook until the egg set enough

to flip it too the other side. Place a slice of cheese on the flipped side and let it melt. I always toast

the center of the bread too and my son loved to eat it first. This was a stapple at out house for years.
